The default search in UC Library Search for Black Panther Party will retrieve results from all the UC Library catalogs as well as articles from various databases. It will also retrieve both primary and secondary sources.  You may want to narrow down your search by enclosing your search terms in quotation marks: "Black Panther Party." 

Searching for "Black Panther Party" as an author in the Advance Search will retrieve primary source material created by the organization. Similarly, you might search for prominent members of the Party to find their personal memoirs or writings. (Note that if the name is a common one, not all the entries will refer to the Party member, so you may want to combine the author search with the keywords "Black Panther.")
