International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS). Indexes journals, books, chapters, and book reviews in the fields of economics, political science, sociology, and anthropology from more than 100 countries.

Project Muse.  Several hundred digitized scholarly journals and books in the humanities and social sciences. Books are available in PDF format, searchable and retrievable to the chapter level, with no restrictions on downloading or printing.

ProQuest Social Sciences. Interdisciplinary meta-search of the Proquest social sciences indexes. Includes EconLit, International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS), PAIS, PsycInfo, Sociological Abstracts, Worldwide Political Science Abstracts and more.

Sociological Abstracts.  Finds books, journals, dissertations, and reviews in the social sciences on sociological topics as well as selected anthropology, criminology, demography, law, social psychology, and urban development.

Women's Studies International.  Indexes women's studies, women's issues, and gender-focused books, book chapters, journal articles, dissertations, and reports from throughout the world.

Global Policy Forum. Independent policy watchdog that monitors the work of the United Nations and scrutinizes global policymaking. It promotes accountability and citizen participation in decisions on peace and security, social justice and international law.

International Development Research Center.  Initiates, encourages, supports, and conduct research into the problems of the developing world.  From the Government of Canada.
