22 digitized editions of The Negro Motorist Green Book, a travel guide published between 1936 and 1966 that listed hotels, restaurants, etc. where black travelers would be welcome. Written and edited in most cases by African Americans, the works reproduced include biographical sketches of individuals from all walks of life. An index to the collection is shelved at E185.96.A12.B52 1991 in Doe Reference.
