Located on the first floor of Moffitt Library, the Makerspace is pilot program made possible by a grant from the Student Technology Fund. ETS, the University Library and SAIT have partnered with b.makerspace, a collective of student design clubs, to provide a place to explore design technologies and methods for students at Cal.
Use of the 3D printers requires Type A training through the Jacobs Institute or with the Moffitt Makerspace staff. Please see our events below to find our next training date.
Makerspace equipment is available the same hours as the floors 3 and 1 of Moffitt Library.
Hours for training, support and troubleshooting:
We connect student organizations to create an inclusive space for making. Our member club specialties include engineering accessible solutions for people with disabilities, 3D modeling and printing, design thinking and prototyping. We aren't just equipment space on campus. Join our vibrant community to connect with students from the arts, humanities, sciences, and engineering. We believe in providing mentorship for students interested in working on projects and getting into making.
