Newspapers: Search by Topic

Melvyl Advanced Search by newspaper topic

To find newspapers that focus on a particular topic you can search by EITHER Subject OR Keyword and limit to format type "Newspaper".  Truncate the search term with an asterisk  *, for example, Labor Union*, so the search will bring up Labor Union and Labor Unions.

Examples of Subject topics:

Anti-slavery movements, Campaign literature, Labor movement, Protest literature, Social movements, Right-Wing extremists, Welfare rights movements, World War I 1914-1918, Black Panther Party, Orthodox Judaism, Underground Newspapers, etc.

Results from these searches will bring up newspapers on that topic and/or by that political / social group.
