1.  keywords; phrase searches (use quotes to keep two or more words together), variant word endings

on the left, limit to scholarly/peer reviewed articles; or limit to books, by language...

2.  look for other relevant terminology ; if necessary use fewer terms

4.  look at official subject headings; click on the heading or redo the search as a subject search:
