HathiTrust ETAS (Emergency Temporary Access Service)

Things to know about HathiTrust’s Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS):

  1. Service is temporary. If print lending of ETAS titles resumes for any reason, HathiTrust will need to deactivate ETAS for UCB.
  2. Limited to current UC Berkeley faculty, staff, and students with CalNet IDs
  3. ETAS provides access to digital versions of print items owned in the UC Libraries including the two storage facilities, NRLF and SRLF.
  4. Items can be viewed but not downloaded. No full-text or page by page downloading allowed.
  5. Please return items as soon as you are done with them. The number of simultaneous viewers is limited to the number of physical copies owned by the UC libraries (e.g., 3 print UC copies = 3 simultaneous viewers).
