    Google Scholar is an easy way to do interdisciplinary research, and with some settings changes can become even more useful.  

    • Connect Google Scholar to the UC Berkeley library to get full text from off campus:
    1. Open Scholar.
    2. Click the menu icon three lines
    3. Click on the gear icongear, settings
    4. Choose Library Links 
    5. In the search box, type the word Berkeley
    6. Choose University of California, Berkeley - UC-eLinks, and Open Worldcat Search.
    • Want to know an article’s impact?
    1. Do a Google Scholar search
    2. Look on the "Cited by" link under a citation
    3. The higher the number, the more times other scholars have used it as a source
