Migration Data

International Migrant Stock. From the UN Population Divisison. Estimates of international migrant by age, sex and origin. Estimates are presented for 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2017 and are available for all countries and areas of the world.

Cross National Time Series Data. Single nation-level data series spanning 200 years and over 200 countries covering a variety of demographic, social, political, and economic topics.  Contains a variety of hard-to-find indicators: measures of domestic conflict events such as assassinations, general strikes, guerrilla warfare, purges, revolutions, and anti-government demonstrations as well as a legislative process and political indicators such as legislative effectiveness, party legitimacy, constitutional changes and numbers of coups d'etat.

Eurostat. Includes very detailed data (monthly) on refugees and migrants by destination country and country of origin.

Henly Passport Index. Ranking of passport power based on data from the International Air and Transport Association.

OECD Migration Databases. Detailed Migration data for OECD Countries.

CEIC Global Database. Provides detailed data for 121 countries, including Demographics and Labor Markets, Economic & Household Surveys, Tourism and Trade. Sources include International Organizations and National Statistics Offices.

Global Bilateral Migration Database. Global matrices of bilateral migrant stocks spanning the period 1960-2000, disaggregated by gender and based primarily on the foreign-born concept, from the World Bank. 

International Displacement Monitoring Center. Global internally displaced person figures based on IDMC's monitoring of internal displacement caused by conflict, generalized violence, human rights violations and natural hazard-induced disasters.  Look by country.

International Labour Organization (ILO) Labor Migration Data. Labor statistics, to develop international standards for better measurement of labor issues and enhanced international comparability.

Minorities at Risk Project. University-based research project that monitors and analyzes the status and conflicts of politically-active communal groups in all countries with a current population of at least 500,000

PRS Country Data.  International country risk group (ICRG) political risk data for 140 countries from 1980, as well as macroeconomic data and Political Risk Services (PRS) forecasting. Includes measures of bureaucracy, corruption, civil disorders, ethnic tensions, poverty, inflation, terrorism, and other metrics.

World Bank Migration and Remittances Data. Inflows and outflows of remittances data (country of origin and destination),

United Nations Population Division: International Migration. Sex and age distribution of international migrants worldwide, changes in the international migrant stock over time for countries of origin or age groups and quantification and monitoring of vulnerable groups in need of special protection.
