Mozilla Global Sprint 2017

What is the Library Carpentry Sprint?

  • Library Carpentry Sprint is an international campaign that is a part of the larger Mozilla Global Sprint 2017.
  • The goal of this Library Carpentry sprint is to improve/extend Library Carpentry lessons.

Library Carpentry Sprint @UC Berkeley

  • Drop in anytime between 9 am and 5 pm to help amend, update, and extend existing Library Carpentry lessons.
  • Help make current Library Carpentry lessons more archivist friendly. 
  • Help get draft lessons for SQL, Python, web scraping, and other topics into final shape for launch.
  • All skill levels are welcome, and there are many different ways to contribute. 
  • Participants from other UCs will also be joining us via video conferencing.
  • Refreshments will be available.
  • Presented by the UC Berkeley Library.

What

Participants can contribute code or content, proofread writing, help with visual design and graphic art, do QA (quality assurance) on prototype tools, or advise or comment on project ideas or plans. All skill levels are welcome!
