Newspapers are often archived in microforms (microfilm, microfiche, or microcard), which can also be used to preserve other types of sources. Recommendations or finding newspapers and microforms include:

  1. The Newspapers & Microforms Library
  2. OskiCat
  3. Center for Research Libraries (CRL)
  4. WorldCat (Library of Congress online catalog)

A-Z Databases is the full list of UC Berkeley database subscriptions.

To access it in the "Start Your Search" box on The Library homepage. select BROWSE ALL DATABASES in the DATABASES tab.


To search for newspapers related to South Asian Studies, select:

  • "Southeast Asian Studies" in the Subject (far left) dropdown.
  • "News" in the Database Type dropdown.
