You can still access the UC Berkeley Library’s services and resources during the closure. Here’s how.
Artists' books defy conventional "reading" and involve the viewer though sight, touch, and physical manipulation. Too often locked behind exhibit cases, Hands On events make them available for you to touch, turn pages, and explore. The Environmental Design Library hosts these events twice a semester and future dates will be announced on this page.
Our artists books are also available for viewing during reference desk hours, usually 1-5 Monday - Friday. While no appointment is necessary, you may want to contact us ahead of time to ensure their availability.
UCB faculty interested in using any of these for class, please contact David Eifler.
The Library attempts to offer programs in accessible, barrier-free settings. If you think you may require disability-related accommodations, please contact the event sponsor -- ideally at least two weeks prior to the event. The event sponsor is David Eifler, 510-643-7422, email@example.com.
