Library 101 for Rausser College of Natural Resources Students: More Help

When to get help

Here are examples of scenarios where it may make sense (and save time!) to reach out to a librarian:

  • I can't find any [books, articles, etc.] on my research topic (we can help you figure out the best place(s) to search and effective search strategies, or suggest ways to broaden your topic)
  • I found too many [books, articles, etc.] for my research topic (we can suggest ways to narrow a topic and/or to better evaluate sources)
  • I found this [book, article, etc.], but can't figure out how to get the full text document (we wish it were easier to find full text, but until it is, we can help)
  • I'm struggling with formatting my citations or with organizing all the papers I find (a citation manager may be the answer, and we can help)
