Regional economic and financial institutions play an expanding role in the world economy. The following organizations include Regional Development Banks (e.g. the Asian Development Bank) Customs and Monetary Unions (e.g. Andean Community), Single and Common Markets (e.g. CARICOM) and Economic Communities.
