PSYCH 1: Find Popular Press Article

Academic Search Complete

Find an article from a popular press source like Psychology Today, Time, or Newsweek. We recommend using Academic Search Complete, a database that indexes both scholarly and popular titles (linked to below). (Or, flip through paper copies of Psychology Today in the Heyns Reading Room & Current Periodical Room on the 2nd floor of Doe Library. )

Search on Topic + Source in Academic Search Complete database

1. Enter topic term(s). Then, enter publication name(s) and select "SO Journal Name" from the pull-down menu.

2. Examine the search results for relevance and other details: [1] article title, [2] publication name, [3] date, [4] page numbers, [5] full text availability.

3. See full display of item. Click on the title to see more information about the article including subject terms and abstract (article summary).
