The NCBI Homepage offers categorized lists of resources organized by the type of information known or sought:

With the search box empty and All Databases selected, click Search to be taken to a page of NCBI resources grouped under the categories of Literature, Genetics (formerly Health because it focuses on medical genetics resources), Genomes, Genes, Proteins, and Chemicals.
