LibApps Overview + Help

LibInsight is the data analytics platform integrated with our other LibApps tools we use to analyze reference, instruction, events, appointments, spaces, and research guides data.

1. Request an account (Vaughn Egge).
2. When you have an account, you are ready to begin recording reference and instruction data.

Instruction Statistics

Use the LibInsight form (STATS — Instruction) to record all presentations to groups, including in-person and online interactions such as:

• Course-integrated instruction
• Tours
• Trainings
• Workshops (including those scheduled via LibCal that appear on the Library Workshops page).

Reference and Consultation Statistics

Use the LibInsight form (STATS — Reference) to record reference interactions at public service points. Also use this form to enter reference interactions and consultations that were are not scheduled through the LibCal Appointments tool. DO NOT use the form for:

• LibCal Appointments consultation stats; they are passively collected and reported to the Library Assessment Program. 
• LibAnswers Virtual Reference chats and tickets; they are passively collected and reported to the Library Assessment Program;
