European Union: Statistics & Data

Introduction

Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union situated in Luxembourg. Its task is to provide the European Union with statistics at European level that enable comparisons between countries and regions. Most EU data, including the following categories, can be found in Eurostat, but not all (see below).

Like many government organizations the EU has an open data portal which provides access to open data published by EU institutions and bodies.

UC Berkeley is also a recognized Eurostat Research Entity which enables qualified researchers to apply for access to restricted use microdata. For more information please contact the UC Berkeley D-Lab
