Berkeley Summer Reading List 2022

illuminating communites: reading list banner image

Each year, UC Berkeley staff, students, and faculty collaborate to create the Summer Reading List. It is primarily directed to new students, but of course anyone can review the list for possible summer reading ideas. This year’s theme is Illuminating Communities. On the list, you’ll find a wide variety of fiction and nonfiction, personal histories and natural histories, and persuasive and reflective pieces that examine a myriad of communities from our past and present and invite us to see them anew or to hear their stories for the first time. You may notice an entry recommended by yours truly!

New book by BPH author!

We recently acquired a new book by BPH faculty member Jason Coburn, in both print and online format.
If you know of any other new-ish books with BPH authors (including students), please let me know.

A Bunch of Summer Fun Stuff

It's summer, so I thought I would list some fun (but not necessarily new) stuff. These may have little or nothing to do with Public Health, but everyone is encouraged to take a break once in a while!
