Historical Primary Sources: Latin America

NACLA on microfilm

According to their website, The North American Congress of Latin America (NACLA) began in 1967 as a coalition of civil rights, antiwar, and labor activists who "came together to challenge elite conceptions of the “national interest” as fundamentally opposed to the real interests of the majority of the American people." Their mission was to be a reliable source of information and analysis on Latin America.

NACLA publishes the NACLA Report on the Americas, as well as books, anthologies, and pamphlets. The Library has an extensive collection of microfilmed documents, publications, and ephemera collected by NACLA. Download the PDF guide to the collection.
